Meet the amazing women of Cambodia Knits who knit and crochet each of our products.

Soy Srey Chan, Phnom Penh

I am Soy Srey Chan from Prey Veng Province where I live with my husband and two children: a daughter,18, in her last year of school and a 9-year-old son.

Sometimes my son is a bit naughty—especially when he wants to play games on my phone.

I have been working for Cambodia Knits for 7 years now, so I know how to make almost all of the toys. The extra money pays for school fees for my children. [You’re a good mom, Srey Chan 🙂 ]

Su Nareth, Phnom Penh

I am Sou Nareth, and I love spending time with my grandchildren. I knit monkeys and use the money to buy medicine needed for my family. I’m happy to be knitting for Cambodia Knits and earning a salary to help out at home. [Thanks for making our toys, Nareth!]

Sou Vannary, Phnom Penh

I have four grown children and live in Prek Bangkong, about an hour away from Phnom Penh.  Because my children are grown up, I have a lot of free time and am happy to have something to do that earns me a salary at home. Working at Cambodia Knits has given me greater freedom because I don’t need to ask for money from my children anymore and can support myself. [You’re an inspiration Vannary!]

I live in Phnom Penh with my parents and I don’t have any children yet. I have been working for Cambodia Knits for 1 year an half now, and. I know how to make almost all of the toys. I love to make Beebee, the Lady Bugs , and Pannini the pig in this picture, I’m holding BeeBee and Pannini. I also make new sample toys.

My name is Hul Romdoul, I live in Phnom Penh with my

parents and siblings. I working for CK for 1 year and 6

months.

My role is finance and stock officer. I love my job because it gives me chance to learn more knowledge and skills. I also have an opportunity to make some of the toys including the koala and the turtles.

Aza, Phnom Penh

Hello my name is Aza. I grew up close to the Vietnamese border and now have two children, an 11-year-old son and a daughter who is two and a half.

I’ve been working at Cambodia knits for 8 years and my favorite toy is the sloth. My kids love the panda and the bear. They don’t always go to bed when I want them to, because they want to play with me.

Kunthea, Phnom Penh

My name is Soon Sokunthea. I live in Phnom Penh with my husband and two children. My daughter is 3years old, and my son is 1 year old now.

My kids are very active and talkative.

I have been working for CK for 5 months now as Production Supervisor and HR manager. I don’t know how to crochet or knit yet.

I was born in Kampong Chnang and am still single. Even though I don’t have children yet I love making these toys and this koala is my favorite.

I started working here 2 years ago and I really enjoy making new toys. I have another important role – making sure all our products are hygienically produced.

I live in Phnom Penh with my husband and 3 children: a 17 year old daughter, another daughter is 17 years old, and my son is 9 years old.

Sometime my child doesn’t really obey me.

I have been working for CK for 5 months now. So I know how to make some of the toys, and still learn new toy with my elder team. I love to learn new toys because it help me to grow more skill and knowledge. Now I know how to make monkeys, Beebee, Turtles, Lady Bugs.

Eng, Pattern Designer

I live in Phnom Penh with my husband and son who is 1 year old now. He is gentle, easy going and doesn’t cry much.

I have been working for Cambodia Knits for almost 2 years now as a designer of new products. I love creating new creatures and developing new crochet patterns.

I know how to crochet all single needle designs. I enjoy my work a lot because we have a nice environment and a good team spirit.
